Trader Joe’s Summer Favorites

Your trusted source for nutrition, wellness, and mindset for thriving health.

Trader Joe’s is a great option for many of my clients and followers. The store is readily accessible nationwide and a relatively affordable option for most. They also carry a wide variety of organic fresh and frozen, fruits and vegetables. So, if you think you can’t afford organic produce, I urge you to check out Trader Joe’s. I find their prices to be the most economic. I challenged myself to purchase items that have two main criteria: Soy Free. Canola Oil Free.

Why those two? Because they are hugely inflammatory for most. Inflammation is the leading cause for most dis-ease in my clients. I also find both of those things to appear in foods that are un-assuming. As I strive to educate others on how to easily eliminate certain inflammation triggers, I’m also looking out for the best for my family and our needs.

Here is my current list:

  1. Cashew Fiesta Dip

No junk fillers, just flavor! I’m actually eating it on hard boiled eggs, but you could have it with plantain chips.

2. Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto

Tastes great on top of a grilled grass-fed beef burger! But, of course, you could try it with your favorite gluten free pasta.

3. The Healthy 8

Grab these easy to cook already chopped vegetables. Broccoli, Carrots, Cabbage (red & green), jicama, green bell pepper radish, and celery.

4. Organic String Cheese

Great option for busy kiddos on the go! The ingredients are clean and the price was right.

5. Organic New Zealand Cheddar

Ditch the cellulose and fungicides that are added to shredded cheese options and put in your own elbow grease.

6. Applegate organic hotdogs

Yes, my kids eat hotdogs. I just opt for the better quality ones. They don’t eat them everyday but our household defenitely needs quick options they can cook themselves.

7. Uncured Organic Bacon

Who doesn’t like bacon? Enough said.

8. Frozen Cauliflower Gnocchi

This product is filling and delicious and very clean. An incredible gluten free option.

9. Avocado OIl

I love the glass bottle and the price point!

10. Organic Chicken and Beef stock

Keep these in your pantry and you will know the base of your meals are starting with clean ingredients.

11. Organic coconut cream

I use this canned option to make a dairy free “whipped cream” and add more healthy fats into my diet.

12. Coconut Chips

Unsweetened and organic, I can enjoy this in my very own “trail mix” type blend.

13. Taco seasoning mix

This pre-packaged mix has clean ingredients and it will only help to make your taco night easier!

14. Dark chocolate sunflower seed butter cups

An alternative to your peanut butter cups that are ideal for anyone with peanut allergies in your life!

So, tell me, what are your current favorites from Trader Joes? Do you have specific requirements like I do??
