First of all, I want to say a big ‘thank you’.

I watched your 12 minute TED talk and I was immediately riveted by your inspiring talk about intermittent fasting. Everything you said rang true to me. I watched it a week ago, on the 12th of January, 2023, and so far, it is a real bonafide life-changer for me.  As a life long practitioner of yearly fasting, I immediately knew that I would benefit even more from the daily intermittent fasting routine you were describing. So, I started that night, with no eating after 8pm and have continued with the eating window of 12noon to 8pm since, and overall, I just feel fantastic, more supple, lighter, more clear-headed, less joint pain, my emotions are more level, and to top it off, I am losing weight. My blood pressure is down, I sleep better, etc.

I am 67 year old man living in Santa Fe, NM and my 64 year old brother and I are caring for our 92 year old mom until she passes away. This IF is giving much needed energy and clarity of mind as this is a very challenging time as a caregiver, for which I was not prepared to do, but I am trying to repay our mom for all the good things she has done for us over many, many years.

I suspect I will continue doing the 16:8 for the rest of my life.

I also suspect I will have lapses every now and then, but I will just get back on trackas soon as possible.

In brief – Since I was 18 years old, I have done a juice fast every January for 7 to 10 days. Sometimes I could go up until 27 days on fruit and vegetable juices. Up until age 40, my weight was normal and my health was good. I was lean and strong doing landscaping and tree work. However, health problems began in 1995, living in the tropics of Hawaii and then Fiji. And I developed atrial fibrillation and an undiagnosable hip pain, both of which caused me to exercise less and eat more. Some of my eating was to relieve depression of my broken dreams as my health problems unfolded, and my career collapsed. This new IF regime is giving me hope once again to regain at least a semblance of good health, normal weight, and I want to thank you very much. I hesitate to get into more detail about all this, and as, you say, I really love that this program is FREE, FLEXIBLE and SIMPLE! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
